This Powerful PRO Air Purifier Console moves an impressive amount of air, circulating the air 1x per hour in 4,050 square feet and 4.8x per hour in 837 sq. ft rooms making it ideal for extra-large spaces! The pro is equipped with 3-layer combination filter. The 2 washable pre-filter screens are the first layer of filtration and captures large dust particles, pet dander, and hair. The second layer of filtration are the 2 premium quality granulated charcoal filters that attacks foul odors, smoke particles, and VOCs, prevents the growth of bacteria, germs, and mold. The last and most impactful layer of the combination filter are the 2 HEPA filters that capture 99.97% of airborne allergens down to 0.1 microns, such as dust mites, small debris, mold spores, pollens, and pet dander. Features a touch control panel. Equipped with 5 fan speeds, real time air quality monitor, Auto Mode, Night Mode, Child Lock, and temperature display. The Air Quality Monitor detects the amount of particles in the air and displays the air rating on 3 color LED display. When in auto mode, the GermGuardian reads air quality and automatically adjusts the fan speed. In night mode, the unit will run in library quiet low speed and the display lights will turn off. The Filter Replacement Indicator will let you know when it is time to replace your filter. It is recommended to replace your HEPA Filter every 6-8 months. *Tested with Staphylococcus Albus, and Escherichia Coli, Aspergillus Niger, and Phi-X174.

How do I determine what air purifier I need based on my room size?

Small rooms below 100 SF may only require a tabletop or mini tower-style air purifier to circulate the air
Medium rooms that range between 100 SF and 170 SF will typically need a floor model that has a larger filter to effectively process the air in the room.
Large rooms over 170 SF will require a full size tower or box style unit.

What is HEPA?

HEPA stands for “High Efficiency Particulate Air.” A HEPA filter must capture 99.97% of all particles that pass through it that are 0.3 microns or greater in size. HEPA is composed of a layer of randomly arranged fibers. HEPA filters are often used in airlines, vacuum cleaners, cars, etc.

How often do I need to replace my filter?

GermGuardian® air purifier filters should be replaced every 6–8 months depending on use.

How do I know I need to replace my filter?

You will know your filter needs to be replaced when the filter turns from white to gray or black.

What is CADR?

What is a carbon filter?

Carbon filters are also called charcoal or activated charcoal/carbon filters. It is a form of carbon that is extremely porous making it excellent at absorbing. Carbon filters can absorb a variety of chemicals and vapors simultaneously.

Is my filter washable?

The pre/charcoal filter layer that attaches to the HEPA portion of the filter can be cleaned using the brush attachment tool on your vacuum cleaner. Once the HEPA portion of the filter turns from white to gray or black, the filter must be replaced entirely.
